TIRS.NET
System TIRS.NET is a modern software of SCADA/HMI category designed to build control centers and industrial applications for energy distribution(heat, water, gas, electricity), telemetry, building administration, facility management, production monitoring and management, crisis staffs and other areas. TIRS.NET is based on well-proven TIRS32 and TIRSWeb product families. The concept of TIRS.NET allows its deployment in both large-scale solutions, as well in small applications, where is desired speed, simplicity and repeatability of solutions.
Received Awards
Microsoft Industry Awards 2004 - for the use of modern Microsoft technologies, technological innovation and excellence.
The main advantages of visualization and control system TIRS.NET
- TIRS.NET control applications aren't created by programming, but by the configuration using tools built into the system.
- TIRS.NET doesn't have a separate development and user (runtime) version. User with assigned rights can carry out on-line repairs and modifications in the running control application.
- The system kernel (communications, alarms, history ,...) runs independently of connected clients as services of the operating system without logged user. It provides an automatic (re)start of application for example, in the long-term failure of electricity.
- TIRS.NET is an open system. User can himself create its modules, connectors and function according to his own preference and needs.
- TIRS.NET can create both local as well as network (server) applications with any number of fullfeatured clients.
- The system kernel of TIRS.NET allows two-way communication with many kinds of different technologies (e.g. AMiT, Promos, Teco, Johnson Controls, Koyo, Landis & Gyr, Mitsubishi, Siemens, Sauter EY2400, EY3600 Sauter, Toshiba, Trend and others). Support of general communication protocols: OPC, ModBus, M-Bus is a matter of course. For all communications connectors can be set parameters for communication via COM, TAPI, TCP, UDP, HTTP. The list of supported devices.
- Effective communication - new values from technology are automatically sent to the client visualization panel only as numbers.
- Optimization of reading values from technology – all connected stations are read during the call to the remote modem.
- Historical data, alarms, etc. are stored in the Microsoft SQL Server, which is part of the installation of TIRS.NET. For each signal from the technology it is possible to define a database or databases as a data storage.
- Support for Microsoft Windows 2000, XP, 2003, Vista and higher, including Microsoft Windows CE.
- Combining more TIRS.NET control centers via LAN, WAN or Internet, with the possibility of building central TIRS.NET control application.
- Possibility of creation of an Internet layer of TIRS.NET control application.
Configuration and management of control application
- TIRS.NET has all standard functions of SCADA/HMI systems.
- Presentation of current state of controlled technology.
- Establishment, evaluation, record, acquittance and presentation of current and historical alarms, transmission of alarms at local and remote sites using various communication channels (e.g. SMS, e-mail ,...).
- Storing data to Microsoft SQL Server databases, presentation of historical data (trends) in the form of graphs and tables, including print and export of selected data on client's workstations.
- Creation and use of various relationships between different signals (e.g. mathematical relationships), implementation of time-driven events (control of technology based on created timetable).
- Very easy installation without the need of deeper knowledge of Windows.
- There is no need any special environment for creation of a control application and visualization.
- For a creation and a view of technological visualization panels is used the "TN panel” tool, which allows to experienced users to create visualization of the connected technology.
- Comfortable browser of historical data in graphical and tabular form.
- Configuration of signals is carried out in the MS Excel, where it is possible to mass-copy and modify configurations, or by direct editing of XML files.
Cooperation with other systems
- TIRS.NET allows a creation of control applications that can work together with corporate information systems through data inputs and outputs (direct connection, SQL databases, etc.).
Several reasons why use TIRS.NET
- Very easy and quick implementation (creation of an application can by handled by skilled user in few minutes).
- Standardized solution based on Microsoft .NET platform.
- Open solution.
- Simple creation of your own components.
- The world trend is to implement a support for Microsoft. NET into each system and equipment.
For implementation companies
- Creation, modification and complementation of the application at customer's place without the need of programming environment, compilation and transferring into the control computer.
- Fast transfer of a new project to the customer, this is done simply by copying of the project directory which contains project files.
- Appropriate technology for rapid and repeatable solutions.
- Easy management of multiple projects on one computer.
- Development license of TIRS.NET with basic training included is free of charge.
- Quantity discounts.
Note: Properties of TIRS.NET depend on the type of purchased modules and connectors.

Description of TIRS.NET
In general layer TIRS.NET consists of two logically separated parts. The part visible for user (screen with visualization of connected technology, diagnostic module, presentation and configuration modules) and the part invisible for user (the system kernel, communication and database modules, etc.). Advantage of TIRS.NET is that the invisible part can run independently on the logged user and thus it can carry out its control tasks immediately after turning on of the computer without the need of logging operators.
TIRS.NET can be used as a compact control system on one computer or as a network application with more remote clients. Individual control systems can be placed in the higher units and thus create distributed applications for large-scale systems with communication over the Internet.

TIRS.NET architecture
Terminology:
Kernel - The basis of TIRS.NET system (TirsNetKernel.exe).
Connector - Software communication library for connecting of specific type of device.
Module - Additional operating module, which processes values of signals. Module is an object written for Microsoft. NET environment as a "managed application". They are mostly historical recorders, alarm evaluators, alarm message transmitters etc. ...
TN Panel - Client application that allows to create, edit and display the visualization technology.
Kernel (TirsNetKernel.exe) is the basis of TIRS.NET. Kernel takes care of running the invisible part of the system. Kernel automatically runs communication objects (connectors) to link with different types of technology (e.g. PLCs) and other modules (history recorders, alarm evaluators,
etc.) according to the current configuration of the application. TN panel represents the visible part of the application. It allows authorized users to create or edit the view of connected technology - visualization panel. This application is also used for viewing of created visualization panels. Whether the user has a possibility to monitor or view the technology depends on his assigned rights. The main difference of TIRS.NET compared to other systems is that it does not distinguish between development and runtime version. If user has assigned sufficient user rights he can create new visualization panels or modify existing. These changes can be done from any client computer during runtime of the system. For this reason, the client application - TN Panel has two operating modes: operating/editing. Legitimate user can freely switch between these modes, it any development environment is not necessary. Big advantage is the ability to configure TIRS.NET by Microsoft Excel or by XML files that can be edited by any text editor (e.g. Notepad, which is a part of the operating system MS Windows). Other visible parts of the system are different
modules (e.g. alarm module, historical module, diagnostic module, ...) or a Web extension with web pages which are attached to the TIRS.NET kernel. For more information visit download section. You can also download there a limited version of TIRS.NET.
